My space

since we've moved, i've not had a lot of time to get my "own" space situated...  that's TOTALLY fine as it's so low on the priority list.  however, i did have some time to make it a little more comfy.  here's the new one (i still really miss my basement hole, though).  here it is...  now, share what your space looks like (don't worry if it's a mess - we all know we have messes and IT IS OK)!!!!

oh and here's my "other" workspace... pretty crazy, i know...  my back and shoulders really hate me because a lot of the time i don't simply put it on my lap - i crank my body over and type.  bad.  very bad.

have an out-of-town visitor heading in tomorrow.  can't wait.  the kids are so super excited to have an early holiday visitor coming to play.  they've got a whole slew of things already planned in their little minds to do.  good times.  blessed times.

one of the challenges that will become a monthly challenge is the template challenge.  i haven't really ever been much of a template scrapper; however, when i really am stuck and need a starting point, i've finally learned templates (or skteches) are one way to help get me over the hump.  so, to open our monthly template challenge, head over to TLP and grab this template for free... then, let's see what magic you can work with it!!!  check the detailed images in the product for what some of the Pollys worked with this template!

Layouts & a Sale

what's going on?  how was your halloween?  got all the pics scrapped?  i sure don't - i've got them all still sitting on my computer.  hopefully in the next few days, i'll get them at least off the camera and onto my laptop.  which reminds me i need to run some backups of pics very soon.  which further reminds me i need to research some EHDs.  haven't done that in a long while.  see how one things rolls into another?  if i write things down, i tend to be more apt to remember to actually do them.  just ask DH - he's been bugging me to buy him some protein shake mix for like a week, and i'm going right now to do it because i just wrote it down.  ok, now that is done - he will be happy.

here's a layout using some of the Cocoa Daisy goodies from the October kit - the layout is on the CD blog (i missed it and looked at the wrong blog, i guess!). thanks.

here's another i did a long while back attempting to use lots of ribbons and different stamps.  it was actually one of my very first attempts at stamping....  i enjoyed it! :)

here's another layout, featured on the Kenner Road blog just recently that uses a bunch of old(er) KR goodies.  there's a little product challenge there - c'mon over and play! 

Costumes

bad mom that i am...  only two of the kids have their costumes ready and those costumes are ones that they've had around the house for a long while.  as of now, DD2 will be a unicorn and frogger will be a race car driver.  DD1 wants to be a witch, a good witch, so i'm going to work on that today.  will be interesting to see how that turns out.  the kids are super excited for tomorrow night.  we are heading to neighbors' for pizza, then to a church festival and then out to trick-or-treat.  by the end of the night, they should be pretty wiped.  good thing is they will all have naps tomorrow afternoon to prepare!  :)

here's a couple more layouts to share.  this first one is a fun one using a new collab by Cinnamon Designs & Nikki Beadrueau (she's been a busy designing lady) called Daydreamer.

this second layout is of DD on her birthday last year.  she was having fun all dressed up (all stuff she got not 15min earlier as gifts).  she's really not a uber girlie type; however, on occasion, she turns on the super princessy stuff!  pretty cute to see.  this layout uses Karah Fredricks's kit, Being a Princess.  i had a little bit of fun here layering lace.
